Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Chaos Rising, review

What happened with the old names consisting of just one or two word. If hter was a sequel they added a number after the one or two words. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Chaos Rising, can a title be more complicated?

Nevemind that now, back to the game.

W40kDoWIICR ( :-) ) is the first expansion to Dawn of War II, and it takes of where DoW II ended. Among other things there are five new units for existing races, where, for example wraithguard Eldar gives access to anti-armor weapon as they have longed for since Dawn of War II. Of course you can in multiplayer mode now play Chaos Space Marines, which is a new experience in itself. By indulge your upgrades and directions to various gods, you can choose if you want to run extremely hardcore offensive, or give life a more defensive orientation. This is a welcome feature and makes Chaos Space Marines to a varied and delicious race.

W40kDoWIICR is a great expansion that is worth replaying.

Bayonetta, review

There is one word that summarise Bayonett, Insane.

The game is completely insane. The story is insane, the bossfights are insane and the music is insane. But I love it.
Its not that often you get this kind of action in a game. Its like a Davil May Cry on speed. The intricate battles are fast, smart and relentless. Full Focus is a requirement. The game also sports a rather odd approach to aesthetics and storytelling. Bayonetta is a witch with twinkle in the eye with a colorful sexuality which is perhaps why she dresses in her own hair. The cut sequences are completely insane, and includes MTV editing, torpedo-zoom and kitschy music.

Nuff said, buy the game.

Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, review

Dragon Age was one of the last years best games. It took over the flag long after Baldurs Gate has been forgotten and it did so with a vengeance.

Now its time for the first expansion, Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening. Will the expansion deliver?

Hmm, would say no, it doesn’t. The game as fun and action packed and has a good story. But there is something missing. For some reason none of the choices you make makes any difference and there are almost no references that tells you that this is a a expansion and not a stand alone game.

But if you are a die hard fan of Dragon Age I still recommend you to buy the expansion. You will get maybe around 25 hours of game play and you will meet the cat Sir Pounce-a-lot :) .

For me it was just a short stop until Dragon Age 2 arrives.
